Here’s a nice little set of commercial slides of Hong Kong dating back to the 1960s. While the project’s main remit is the discovery and sharing of found ‘amateur’ 35mm slides, I will on occasions scan and share some commercial slides if I find them interesting enough. Most of the scenes in these slides are long-gone now, so it’s great to view them to really get a feeling of what the streets of Hong Kong looked like 50 years ago.
I visited Hong Kong back in 2004 and while there was a fair bit of neon, it wasn’t anything like this!
